Our Mission

The mission of the Hope Mills Area Chamber of Commerce is to sustain and further develop a thriving economy and to enhance our community's quality of life. We work hard to support the interests of the local business community.


Our Mission is to EDUCATE our business owners so they have the knowledge necessary to operate and keep up with the changing times , ADVOCATE for our members when issues arise that are above and beyond their expertise, and to give our business members the tools to EMPOWER them to go above and beyond in order to succeed.

Casey Ferris

President

Casey Ferris has served on the board for three years, two of them as Vice President. "I’m a firm believer in being proactive and investing in our community. We are all in this together and it’s time to start working towards a common goal."


Casey is the Marketing Director for U-TECK, a locally owned Supplier and Manufacturer of Fiber Optic Equipment and more. She also own my own marketing company and have used my knowledge to help educate local businesses owners on how they can market their businesses in the digital age. During her two years as Vice President, she have been able to work with the business owners of Hope Mills and the surrounding area toward the mutually beneficial goal of seeing Hope Mills grow and succeed. Her plans for the Chamber include: Providing Education for our Business Members, Advocating for the local businesses and Empowering them to succeed.

Karcie Lowe

Vice President

Karsie Lowe is the Marketing Manager at Bubba's 33 and has been a longtime chamber member, and supporter. You're sure to have seen her at a Chamber Luncheon, and on our Facebook Lives. She is involved with not only the Hope Mills Chamber, but the Fayetteville Chamber and so much more!


Karsie is hardworking and brings new fresh ideas to the table. She is always willing to lend a hand, or arrange a partnership on behalf of the Chamber or Bubbas. During her last two years on the chamber board she has been an invaluable asset - From volunteering at events to Sponsoring Luncheons. 

Lisa Bastic-Penardo

Treasurer

Lisa swooped in and saved the day after a computer crash and we could not be more grateful! She was quickly nominated as Treasurer and has since been keeping our books in order.


Lisa hails from Rhode Island, where she served on numerous boards and organizations. She has been in the area for almost 7 years, with a background in Property Management Accounting and a licensed Notary (and her cookies are AMAZING)! 

Elizabeth Blevins

Secretary

Elizabeth Blevins: Writer, artist, photographer and woman about town. Liz is a true renaissance woman, always perusing the arts...and mastering them. She aspires to one day be Queen of the Universe, and we'll get to say 'we knew her way back when...' 


 is new to the board, but her involvement and passion for everything 'Hope Mills' makes her a perfect fit!  She has served on the VFW Women's Auxiliary Board, Executive Director for the Hope Mills Creative Arts Council and more! Her writing, photography and many other skills are a welcome addition to the Chamber Board! 

Shawnelle Jones

Board Member

Shawnelle Jones is the Special Events and Communications Coordinator for the Town of Hope Mills Parks and Recreation Department. She is a native of Fayetteville, NC and brings 3+ years municipal government experience and over 10 years of event planning experience. She is a Certified Event Planner, an International Certified Wedding Planner and a Certified Sandals Resort Specialist. 


What she loves most about her job is that she gets to express herself and showcase her unique talents creatively thru developing and executing different types of events, bringing people together and creating lasting memories. As a member of the Hope Mills Chamber, she strives to build business to business relationships and enhance the quality of life for her family and all the residence of Hope Mills. When Shawnelle is away from work you will find her at home in her craft room or enjoying time with her family.

Grilley James Mitchell

Grilley James Mitchell

Grilley served twenty years in the US military, retired from Fort Bragg, NC 1993. Volunteer with the ALMS House serving as the Program Coordinator Love Lunch Ministry of Hope Mills. Bachelor of Science Degree in (Psychology), Very active in the community. Chairman for the Hope Mills Veterans Affairs Committee, Served as chairman for the Hope Mills Festival committee. Have been a part of several other committees within the Hope Mills community. Lifetime membership with several military organizations: Disable American Veterans, Non-Commissioned Officers Association, AMVETS, The Retired Enlisted Association, VFW and American Legion. I have a passion for being involved, with team building, working to find common ground to improve the community. I look forward to serving on the Chamber board to help develop, improve and grow business in the community.

Nolan Clark

Board Member

Nolan is the owner of The Roof Mentors. He is originally from Statesboro Georgia and alumni of Georgia Southern University. He has only been in the Hope Mills area for a little over a year and looks forward to putting roots down and making a difference in the community. In his spare time, you will most likely find him on a golf course or watching some sort of sporting event. Nolan has never met a stranger so please come up and say hi when you meet him!

Joe Shepherd

Board Member

Joe Shepherd is serving on the board for the second time! Owner of Shepherd computer repair services in Hope Mills, be sure to give him a call for ALL your computer needs! He is an integral member of the community, as a member of VFW POST 670 And a kids t-ball coach! His hard work and knowledge have been a valuable asset to the chamber. 

Connie Rushing

Connie is the owner of Bath Snob. Her business ideas and recommendations have been vital to the chamber, and her bubbly demeanor and outgoing personality bring an added bonus to any event!

Brenda Leidholdt

Board Member

Brenda Leidholdt is the Business Development Manager for BluSky Restoration Contractors in Fayetteville, NC. She has been with the company since January 6, 2020. BluSky is a nationwide company with 35 offices throughout the United States that specializes in Restoration, Renovation, Environmental and Roofing. They provide emergency services as well a rebuild services for single family, commercial, industrial, governmental, and multifamily clients.


Previous to BluSky, Brenda was a Regional Manager for a third-party multifamily management company for seven years, and oversaw several apartment communities in Fayetteville, NC. She has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina since 2005.


She serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Fayetteville Apartment Association as the Membership Chair and is on the Education and Suppliers Council for the Apartment Association of North Carolina. She is also a member of, and involved in the North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association, the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, and the Defense Alliance of North Carolina.

Brenda is a longtime resident of Hope Mills for over 25 years and believes strongly in promoting local businesses in the area, donating, and assisting local charities, and helping to improve our already great community

Jerel McGeachy

Board Member

Jerel is an active member of the Hope Mills Community. He is the Chair for the Prime Movers committee, which advises the Hope Mills Board of Commissioners  on issues relevant to the attraction, retention and engagement of Hope Mills residents between the ages of eighteen to thirty-nine.
